FIAMM has been making electromagnetic horns as an OEM supplier to European vehicle manufacturers for over 70 years. The HK7 is their compact high-tone disc horn — designed specifically for 12V applications where space is limited and a crisp, penetrating high-frequency tone is needed. It’s the correct replacement for worn or weak factory horns on scooters, motorcycles, and small cars, and a common upgrade choice for anything running a thin, underwhelming stock horn.

Why Replace Your Factory Horn
Factory horns on budget motorcycles, scooters, and entry-level small cars are often the cheapest possible component on the vehicle. They fade with age, corrode at the terminals, and in many cases were barely adequate to begin with. The HK7 produces a clear, high-frequency tone that cuts through traffic noise — important for urban riding and driving where you need a horn that actually gets heard.

ECE Type Approval
The HK7 carries ECE Reg. 28 type approval, which means it meets European (and NZ-accepted) road vehicle horn standards for sound level, frequency, and durability. This matters if your vehicle is subject to WoF inspection — fitting an unapproved horn can be a WoF failure point.

Installation
Two-pole blade connectors — direct swap for any horn using standard automotive spade terminals. If your existing horn uses a single-terminal earthing setup (earth through the body), a simple jumper wire to chassis is all that’s needed. No relay required for standard single-horn applications.
