RV Push Button Lock – Drawer & Cabinet, Chrome Finish
The push button lock is the standard cabinet and drawer latch on most European motorhomes, NZ-built campervans, and imported caravans. Push the button in and the door or drawer releases — spring-loaded, tool-free, and compact enough to fit in shallow door edges where a handle won’t. When the original lock breaks, stiffens, or loses spring tension, this chrome replacement is a direct retrofit in most applications.
Before You Order — Measure Your Door Thickness
Push button locks are not one-size-fits-all. The barrel length of the lock must match the thickness of your door or drawer front, or the button will either sit proud of the surface (too short) or not engage the catch correctly (too long). Remove your existing lock and measure the door thickness at the cutout — most motorhome cabinet doors fall between 15mm and 25mm. If your existing lock has a part number stamped on the body, check it matches this unit before purchasing. Contact us with your measurement if you’re unsure.
Installation
Drill or confirm the existing hole diameter in the door face — standard push button locks use a 22mm or 25mm hole depending on the body diameter of your existing unit. Feed the lock body through from the front, fit the retaining nut from inside, and tighten until snug. The strike plate mounts to the cabinet frame at the correct depth to engage the latch pin. No special tools required.
Finish
Chrome / polished silver. Suited to motorhomes and caravans with chrome or brushed metal hardware. If your existing fittings are white plastic or black, this chrome finish will not match — contact us to check if we have alternative finishes available.
Suitable For
Motorhome and campervan cabinet doors, drawer fronts, wardrobe doors, and overhead lockers. Fits most European motorhomes on Fiat Ducato, Iveco Daily, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, and Ford Transit base vehicles. Also suited to NZ-built campervans and imported caravans using standard push button hardware.
