Interstar PowerPedal Throttle Controller – Toyota Fortuner KUN60 / SW4 (2004–2015)
The Interstar PowerPedal is an Austrian-engineered throttle response controller that connects to your accelerator pedal sensor in minutes and gives you four levels of throttle response adjustment via Bluetooth smartphone or smartwatch app. Available for over 16,000 vehicle models, it eliminates the factory drive-by-wire lag that makes modern vehicles feel unresponsive — particularly at low speeds, in traffic, and under load.
The Toyota Fortuner KUN60 and its South American SW4 equivalent (2004–2015) share the same 1KD-FTV 3.0L or 2KD-FTV 2.5L diesel drivetrain and accelerator pedal assembly as the N70 HiLux Vigo — making the PowerPedal a direct-fit solution for the Fortuner platform as well. The Fortuner is a popular choice in NZ as a family 4WD and tow vehicle, and its factory throttle calibration carries the same conservative lag built into the entire N70/KUN60 platform. For Fortuner owners who tow caravans, horse floats, or boats, or who use their vehicle on back-country and gravel roads, the PowerPedal’s improvement in low-speed throttle response is immediately useful.
The SW4 / Export Market Note
The Toyota SW4 is the South American market name for the Fortuner, used in Brazil, Argentina, and other Latin American markets. The KUN60 chassis designation applies across both the Fortuner and SW4 — the pedal assembly and connector are identical, and this PowerPedal unit fits both. If your vehicle was imported from South America or Japan and badged as an SW4 or Fortuner, this unit is compatible.
Four Driving Modes
Eco — smooths throttle input for relaxed cruising and improved fuel economy. Street — sharpens response for normal daily driving. Sport — strong throttle advance for towing, loaded driving, and highway use. Power — maximum throttle response for demanding terrain and off-road use.
